What is Lupus, Lupus Support Group Update, Lupus Tip Tuesday, Turkey Drive, and More!
We’re thrilled to bring you the latest updates from the L For Lupus Community Foundation! We have some exciting news, events, and resources lined up just for you. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming up:
What is Lupus?
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks healthy cells, causing inflammation, pain, and tissue damage. It can affect many parts of the body, including joints, skin, kidneys, and more. At L For Lupus, we strive to support lupus warriors, caregivers, and families through resources, advocacy, and community engagement.
1. New Monthly Support Group Location
We’re excited to announce a new location for our monthly support group! Join us every first Monday of the month at Lucid Winery on R Street in Sacramento. This is a welcoming space for anyone affected by lupus to connect, share experiences, and find support. Next Lupus Support Group is Dec 2nd. We are looking for 3 Lupus Warriors to join us!

2. Instagram Live – Tip Tuesdays!
Join us for “Instagram Tip Tuesday” live sessions! Each week, we’ll feature inspiring stories and tips from lupus advocates, patients, caregivers, and professionals.
📅 Next Up: On November 12th, tune in to hear from lupus warrior Shamikka Marty. She’ll be sharing her experiences and practical tips on how to apply for grants to cover travel costs and how you, too, can get paid through available resources! Don’t miss this valuable conversation!

3. Upcoming Turkey Drive 🦃
With Thanksgiving around the corner, we’re raising $1,000 to donate warm turkey dinners to families in need. If you or someone you know could benefit, apply here for a turkey dinner. Every contribution makes a difference, so please consider donating if you can to help us reach our goal.

4. Our Annual Toy Drive 🎁
We’re kicking off our Toy Drive soon, bringing joy to children and families this holiday season. More details are on the way, so stay tuned for how you can get involved!

Thank you for being part of our community. Your support fuels our mission to uplift those affected by lupus. Stay tuned for more updates, and remember we’re here for you every step of the way.
Warm wishes and wellness,
